At this year’s MWC 2017, Porsche Design showcased not only its version of the Huawei Watch 2 but also unveiled the Book One laptop, poised to be a direct competitor to the Microsoft Surface Book. The Book One, flexible like Microsoft’s product, comes equipped with robust components.
Notable advancements include support for various voice assistant programs like Cortana and facial recognition through Windows 10 Hello. The device facilitates note-taking or drawing on its touchscreen using Windows Ink. Operating in conventional mode, the tablet can be detached from its body and even rotated 360 degrees. This Porsche masterpiece comes with a price tag of $2,495.
The hardware components of the Book One closely resemble the Surface Book, featuring a 13.3-inch IPS screen, Intel processor, and support for a similar range of RAM as Microsoft’s Surface Book. Although the price is quite similar, with its configuration being only about $100 more expensive than the cheapest Surface Book, the Book One promises a distinctive design and performance. Book One is expected to be available in the United States, Canada, and various Asian and European countries in April of this year.
