Talking about the OLEDs, Philips has a full range of large LCD or LED TVs. In addition to renewing the basic of the 6503 series, and the 8303 series, this is the intermediate series: Philips OLED 7303. They mount 4K Ultra HD LED panels. That time it does not only come without the NanoLED technology of the 8303 but also, comes with the powerful P5 processor and the Android TV system. These will arrive like the rest of the range during the first quarter of the year 2018, and the prices are to be confirmed.
Android TV
The Philips 7303 series have the Android TV operating system, and that is a factor to consider. In today’s television, the content accessed through the Internet is critical. Apart from the usual emissions (by land or satellite). That allows easy and quick access to different applications, and Android is one of the best systems.
This Philips series uses to move Android TV a Quad, Core processor. Thanks to that you can play games quickly, and also navigate or run applications. It has 16 GB of internal memory to not run out of space by installing what we want. Access to Google Play Store and dedicated Philips applications open up a world of multimedia possibilities. The remote control has two faces. One usual to facilitate various commands, the other with QWERTY keyboard and touchpad to improve the experience as in a computer. It also supports voice commands.
HDR Plus and Micro Dimming
In addition to having 4K Ultra HD panels, four times the resolution of Full HD, the Philips 7303 is compatible with HDR Plus. The high dynamic range of images allows the screen to reach peak brightness levels and also maintain good contrast and color correction. This HDR Plus is not the advanced HDR10 + system (which rivals Dolby Vision) but allows you to enjoy many advantages of the HDR with those contents that have been produced in this way.
All the Philips 7303 also makes use of the Micro Dimming Pro. It is a system that incorporates some Philips TVs, which measures the ambient light. Depending on that (if it’s day or night for example) a dedicated software analyzes 6,400 areas of the image and adjusts brightness and contrast. In this way, the image appears optimal at any time of the day or night, depending on the stay.
The latest and most powerful graphics processor from Philips equips these televisions. It is the P5 Perfect Picture Engine, responsible for presenting images on the 4K screen optimally, whose origin may not be anywhere near as good. Optimize resolution, sharpness, color, contrast, and movement.
Elegant design and Ambilight
The Philips 7303 are large screen TVs but fragile and slender design. The screen has a metal frame and a base in two pieces of metal with a matte finish. The back incorporates the popular Philips lighting system, Ambilight. It has three sides of colored LED lights, which expand the light of the images on the screen. They increase the visual spectacle and help to relax the view avoiding sudden cuts. They get an enveloping effect similar to that of sound systems.
As for sound, it offers up to 20 W of power and decodes DTS-HD internally. It also takes advantage of that format to improve the clarity and impact of sound.
