Basically, it has an algorithm to generate real-time ambient lighting effects by analyzing the content available on the screen, whether it is playing a video or a game title, or analyzing the tone and rhythm of the theme music being played.
The effects generated will depend on the different customization settings that users have set in the application, from the brightness levels to the choice of the different available modes.

This release comes days after the company has released a major update to the Hue application. Those interested can download Hue Sync for Windows 10 or Mac OS Sierra/High Sierra from this link, and there are no versions of the application for other versions of desktop systems, for which in other cases it will be necessary to use existing third-party applications as far as possible.
