Phantom AR can run a full set of augmented reality experience, including user interface, application, asset and resource management, and environmental and other User interaction. A development team at Silicon Valley is completing a hardware- independent, real-world platform for early testing that they call Phantom AR.
The platform is compatible with IOS and Android-based head system is also compatible with Microsoft HoloLens and the Meta 2. You can run a full set of the AR Phantom augmented reality experience, including user interface, application, asset resource management, environment and interact with other users. The platform is running as an application at the lower level of the operating system, and Phantom can use its AR feature to replace the default user interface.
Do not repeat the wheels
Phantom will allow developers to build applications as usual and deploy them in Phantom without having to rewrite the code for their platform. Phantom also allows non-programmers to create their own real-world objects and share them with other users.
They do not need to repeat wheels, and their creations will put into an optimized environment. For example, they can only develop applications on Unity without having to create applications for each specific hardware. And they will be able to Easily deploy their work to every hardware platform.
Phantom AR Hardware input
Without using gestures, Phantom relies on hardware-based input. Which allows commands to achieve higher accuracy. In fact, Phantom began to develop a wearable hardware prototype two years ago. In addition to its own hardware, any IMU controller, such as the Google Daydream controller, can work with Phantom.
Phantom AR Kickstarter Failure But..
So far, the team is a self-owned company, Burkon focuses on software. And his partner Al Martos focuses on hardware. They are involved in the Kickstarter platform but did not succeed for this project. But the team continued to work hard. Now, with the development of the platform vision, they are working with potential investors to discuss cooperation and want to hire more software engineers.
VR Technology Network are informed that in the next few months there will be an internal beta release. And now interested developers can click here to register first. Burkon hopes not only to support the existing operating system and hardware, but also to support the new launch later this year.
Company goal is to provide an excellent optimization platform for the AR. So that developers can simply create some innovative works.
