Both models are made by the central body of the soundbar and a wireless subwoofer. The dimensions are 853 x 60.5 x 90 mm and 185 x 303 x 337 mm for the subwoofer. Aesthetically, the products are presented with a substantially identical design. Under the shell, products use a different configuration. HTB488 is a model with 2.1 channels with an output equal to 45W for each plus 90W for the subwoofer (180W total). HTB688 is instead a soundbar 3.1 with an output equal to 60W for the subwoofer channel 120W (300W total).
All the speakers are of full range, with dimensions of 4.5 x 12 cm. HTB688 differs from the lower-end model for the presence of a center channel dedicated, capable of improving the yield of the dialogues . Connectivity includes a ‘ HDMI output with ARC (Audio Return Channel: The sound then travels in two directions and you can hear the TV programs through the soundbar with a single cable), an optical digital input, an analog input and Bluetooth. Supported formats are Dolby Digital and DTS , and you can use features that create a virtual surround.
