A picture that seems to come from Amazon shows a box with the Intel logo. The box is translucent and has the shape of a dodecahedron (it should be a hexahedron to be honest, right?). Intel intended to offer a very special package to distinguish its next Core i9-9900K processor. This means that Intel takes marketing very seriously to compete with the extravagant box of the Ryzen Threadripper.
Like AMD and its Ryzen Threadripper processors, Intel would prepare a special box for its first mainstream processor with 8 physical and 16 logical cores. This LGA 1151 chip is called Core i9-9900K.
As a Twitter snapshot shows, fans should expect a twelve-sided polyhedron. In other words, the processor is presented in a box with the ” Core i9 ” brand on the front panel. The filtered listing doesn’t show the SKU of the processor, of course, except that we see an elegant box and good specifications (8 cores up to 5 GHz) and a high price, one might think it’s the Core i9 9900K.
The Core i9-9900K promises to be Intel’s next flagship project, with its 8C/16T hood running at 3.60 GHz compared to a maximum of 5 GHz in Turbo Boost mode.
