OneDrive will feature the automated audio and video transcription service

Microsoft today unveils a series of features that will soon be released on OneDrive and SharePoint, leveraging the potential of artificial intelligence.

Among the new features you’ ll find here is the automatic transcription of audio and video files. This allows the user to have a complete transcript of each file on OneDrive and SharePoint, as shown in the picture:

It is possible to play the file and track the transcript at the same time. There are 320+ file types supported by Microsoft, making it easy for users to dynamically manage them.

One more new feature that will be added is to improve the file recommendation system. A new file page is activated for OneDrive and Office.com, with suggested files that are relevant to the user.

For those who work as a team, there are suggestions for files that you can share with the rest of the members depending on the context of the work. On the other hand, Microsoft also plans to add more statistics to the files so that users can see the interaction or interest they have generated.

All these features will add up in the coming months and improve the work dynamics of Microsoft 365 customers.
