Omen X 27, HP presents a 1440p HDR monitor with a 240Hz refresh rate

HP is working on a new Omen X-Series monitor that promises super-fast refresh rates, HDR support and 2K resolution. We’re talking about the HP Omen X 27 HDR, the 1440p (QHD) monitor that gives players access to 240Hz update rates, no less.

HP Omen X 27 offers 2K resolution and 240 Hz refresh rate

The Omen X 27 HDR is a FreeSync 2 HDR monitor that offers 90% coverage of the DCI P3 color space, response times of just 1 ms and support for DisplayHDR 400, which is impressive for a TN monitor, but even more impressive is that this display offers access to refresh rates from 240 Hz to 1440p, a performance HP has achieved.

Want high resolution and an extremely high refresh rate? That’s where the Omen X 27 HDR comes in, compatible with FreeSync 2 HDR, which ensures smooth movement and avoids the annoying little tugboats in the picture or the splitting of screens by tearing them apart.

The design is of minimalist style until the base is thin and with square support that makes foot with the desk. Behind it is a simple logo of the series in red.

HP plans to launch its new HDR Omen X 27 monitor in September this year in the USA at a retail price of 649 US dollars. Prices and availability in Europe are still unknown.
