Can you imagine having your own room with a large TV screen and being able to enjoy your favourite content in a big way wherever you are? This is possible thanks to virtual reality.
Oculus, the Facebook company that develops technology for virtual reality, has just launched Oculus TV, a new immersive experience focused on users of Oculus Go, independent virtual reality helmets launched earlier this year.
This experience recreates a large virtual room where there is a large TV set, equivalent to a 180-inch TV in real life, where users will have the opportunity to enjoy their favourite content, including live TV channels and streaming platform content, among other sources.
The availability of the content will depend on the markets in which users are located, and in some cases also on the subscriptions available, such as Netflix.
Oculus promises to bring new streaming applications, streaming partners, and more from summer onwards to increase users’ ability to choose what content to view on the big screen in their virtual living room.
It should be noted that the new experience is enjoyed in a one-to-one way, where it is not possible to share the same experience with other people for the time being, as Oculus Rooms already exists for this purpose.
