YouTube will soon launch an application for Oculus Go, probably the so-called “YouTube VR version”. And that will allow users to watch videos using the company’s portable virtual reality system to enhance coverage on one of the most popular VR platforms of the moment.
Oculus announced the news at its Connect Developer Conference, along with other news about Oculus Go’s video offerings, but unfortunately, it has not announced any details about the release date.
This is not the only news from the world of video for Oculus Go. The company has also introduced a casting feature that allows people to easily share their virtual reality experiences with friends on mobile devices or televisions, as well as news of live sports events, comedies and more.
The new Oculus Quest, technically more sophisticated and also less expensive, casts some shadow on Oculus Go, so now it’s about showing the world that Oculus Go is still worth it and offering video features appears to be a good idea.
