VideoCardz website has filtered most of the specifications and prices of the new SUPER line of Nvidia GPUs, GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER, GeForce RTX 2070 Super and GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER.
The information is broadly in line with user expectations following the release of the mysterious super-brand teaser at the end of May last year: optimized versions of Nvidia’s current RTX chipsets, which the company expects to compete with AMD’s Radeon RX 5000.
According to the website, the first hardware products to come onto the market would be the RTX 2070 Super and the RTX 2060 Super, both with more cores inside than the corresponding conventional versions. In addition, it would not change the basic hardware formula, which could offer up to 16 percent more speed.
In the case of the RTX 2070 Super, user prices will start at $499 once the product is finally available on July 9. Compared to Founder’s Edition 2070, which was launched last year, the price is $100 lower. Compared to the RTX 2060 Super, the device would cost $399, higher than its standard equivalent.
In any case, users have an enhanced option with 8GB of RAM for videos for which they can pay an additional $50 or settle for 6GB of the usual version. At this extra cost, users were able to avoid the performance problems they had previously and increase frame rates.
Since Nvidia does not forget the lovers of high-end chips, it will also launch the RTX 2080 Super, which according to VideoCarz would have more cores and more memory bandwidth than the conventional 2080. This hardware would have a price of 699 US dollars, but the media say that users will have to wait a little longer to see this variant, which will be released on 23 July next year.
