Western Digital Black 3D NVMe is a new SSD storage device that comes to market to deliver excellent performance at a lower price than its main rivals.
Western Digital Black 3D NVMe Features
The new Western Digital Black 3D NVMe arrives promising the same performance as the Samsung 960Pro, but at a cost 200 Euros less in its 1TB version, so the price/performance ratio is exceptional. It is an SSD in M.2 2280 format and based on the PCIe x4 interface, together with the NVMe protocol. It is built using Western Digital’s own 3D TLC NAND memory technology, which resides on only one side of the PCB so that it can fit into the narrow confines of low profile laptops.
Western Digital Black 3D NVMe comes in 250GB, 500GB and 1TB versions with a DRAM cache of 256MB, 512MB and 1GB each, enabling them to achieve a sequential read and write speed of up to 3400MB/s and 2800MB/s respectively. The WD Black 3D NVMe offers a five-year warranty and has a printed data resistance of 200TBW for the 250GB model, 300TBW for the 500GB model and 600TBW for the 1TB model.
The official Western Digital Black 3D NVMe prices are $120, $230 and $450 for the 250GB, 500GB and 1TB versions.
