Western Digital has been busy at the Mobile World Congress presenting its storage solutions of all kinds, including the new SSD PC SN720 and PC SN520 memories in NVMe M.2 format.

The two units presented by Western Digital seem to use the company’s most advanced controller.

SN720

The SN720 PC supposedly reaches read speeds of up to 3,400 MB/s, saturating the PCIe Gen3 x 4 connection. This particular model will be available in capacities ranging from 256 GB to 2 TB and uses an M.2 form factor. 2280. It also has a resistance index of 500 TBW with a generous 5-year warranty.

SN520

The SN520 PC, on the other hand, operates at half the speed of the SN720 PC with up to 1,700 MB / s. It will be available in capacities ranging from 128 GB to 512 GB and takes advantage of the PCIe Gen 3 x 2 interface. Unlike the SN720 PC, the SN520 PC will be available in sizes M.2 2230, M.2 2242 and M.2 2280 depending on the capacity. Its resistance index is also slightly lower with 300 TBW, although it shares the same warranty period of 5 years.

How much do the SN720 PC and the SN520 PC NVMe SSDs cost?

Western Digital has not wanted to reveal the prices that both NVD SSD memory models will have, so we’ll have to wait a few weeks to get to know them, as well as their launch dates.
