MSI Z490 sighted for Intel Comet Lake-S in EEC

We’ve already talked about the Z490 motherboards from Asrock, Asus, and Gigabyte in the past, so up to now, only MSI was missing from the four major manufacturers.

Thanks to the EEC, MSI has been added to all models that will be equipped with the new Comet Lake S processors, the tenth generation of Intel Core for the desktop.

These are the models:

• Z490-A PRO
• Creator Z490I
• MAG Z490 TOMAHAWK
• MPG Z490M GAMING EDGE WIFI
• MPG Z490 GAMING CARBON WIFI
• MPG Z490 GAMING PLUS
• MEG Z490I UNIFY
• MEG Z490 UNIFY
• MPG Z490 GAMING EDGE WIFI
• MEG Z490 ACE
• MEG Z490 GODLIKE

After this registration with the CCP, the company will have 11 models based on this chipset. The models H470, B460 and H410 can be added to them, although they have not been sighted so far.

It is still unknown when we will see the arrival of the Z490 and the new processors, as Intel is still having problems with the platform. The launch was planned a few months ago, and so far there is no final date. Rumor says that they will arrive in March, although nothing has been confirmed yet.
