MSI begins a new adventure on the market with the launch of the new MSI Oculux NXG251R gaming monitor, which includes a panel with up to 240 Hz refresh rate and compatibility with G-Sync technology to deliver the best gaming experience for GeForce graphics card users.
MSI Oculux NXG251R is a game monitor that expands the manufacturer’s already extensive catalog, dominated by models with the most attractive value for money, although the manufacturer in this case has not yet released the price, and this is a model with G-Sync, so it is already known in advance that it will not be cheap. It also includes an RGB LED backlight system that can be controlled with MSI Mystic Light and configured for other devices and peripherals.
The new MSI Oculux NXG251R is equipped with a 24.5-inch full HD panel that achieves a frame rate of 240 Hz and a response time of 1 ms (grey/grey), which suggests that it is a TN-type panel. The latter means that one cannot expect any fantastic viewing angles and an excellent colour rendering, which were only replaced by a high refresh rate and a reaction time that is as short as possible.
Its viewing angles are 170 and 160 degrees horizontally and vertically, the static contrast is 1000: 1 and the inputs include DisplayPort 1.2 and HDMI 1.4. It also has a hub with three USB 3.0 ports. We’ll have to wait to know the final retail price and see if it’s worth it compared to the other G-Sync-based solutions.
