Just like the word “Lightning” means, the new MSI GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Lightning will really be a monster for overclockers. MSI lights up the fire for overclocking in Turing game. At an event in China, MSI mentioned that “the lightning storm is approaching” and confirmed that it is currently working on a GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Lightning.
The Lighting line is designed for extreme overclockers and allows not only the regulation of the GPU voltage but also the software control of all important voltages in contrast to normal graphics.
Not going too far, as we can see in the picture, the 1080Ti Lightning Z supports GPU voltage control, memory voltage and two auxiliary voltages of different buses, which increases overclocking performance. They also have a much higher energy margin, which allows us to get the most out of our card. We may see the same voltages on the RTX 2080 Ti, for a much more advanced control than on any other GPU.
Of course, this will be accompanied by a strong cooling system to keep it cool during overclocking. So it will be interesting to see what MSI is preparing for us in this new series.
