Now, thanks to the developer of Camera NX, the owners of Pixel, Pixel, Pixel XL, Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X can enjoy photographs in Portrait mode with just loading an APK.
Camera NX has been in development for some time and has focused on bringing new Google Camera features to older phones. If we take a quick look at the comments section of the application, we will see that what the users wanted was the portrait mode.
The developer behind the application has made the installation and the user experience very fluid. First, download and install the APK. Next, open the Camera NX application, which has a slightly different icon than the Google Camera app. Afterwards, you will see an interface almost identical to other versions of the Google Camera application.
One difference between the portrait mode of Camera NX and the Google Camera app of Pixel 2 is that the mod has to take a burst of photos to create the depth of field. You will know that the effect worked when, when moving through the gallery, you see that the blast contains two photos.
At the moment, it seems that portrait mode only works when the camera application identifies a human face. While the Pixel 2 can create the depth of field effect around almost any object, attempts to take a portrait-mode photo of inanimate objects fail.
