Microsoft Teams will enable transcription of individual calls

Some time ago, Microsoft Teams introduced the transcription feature for group and video calls. With this feature, you can get a text version of the call in question. This is a good help if there are people who missed the meeting, as they can always know what was discussed in the meeting.

The application will now expand on this feature as it will also be introduced for one-on-one, two-person, and video calls. Something that many had hoped would become a reality.

Many people found it odd that Microsoft Teams didn’t directly call out this transcription feature in all calls and video calls in the app. Fortunately, the company has taken note of these complaints and requests, as the feature is now being expanded. For 1:1 calls (one person to one person), a text transcript of the conversation can now also be accessed.

A text version of the conversation can then be saved, which you can send to another person, for example, or if you want a recording of what was said. This feature must be enabled when you have the conversation so that the app generates the text of the conversation at the end.

Microsoft Teams will introduce the transcription feature for one-on-one calls later this month, Microsoft has announced. It will be rolled out in the United States first, with the expectation that it will become more widespread in the popular application as the weeks go by.
