Microsoft held a press event in New York on May 2 (local time). In this press conference they have announced “Surface Laptop”. Surface Laptop is a 13.5-inch thin and light notebook PC with 7th generation Intel Core i5 / i7 CPU. The pre installed OS is Windows 10. The new Surface Laptop is an excellent balance between security and performance required by today’s mobile users. Also it has a long battery life (up to 14.5 hours: for continuous video playback). Prices start at $ 999.
Like Windows 10 S that is also announced on the same day as Surface Laptop. The new Surface Laptop also reflects students ‘and teachers’ voices in the design. Surface Laptop size is 308.02 × 223.2 × 14.47 mm. And the weight is 1.25 kg. That is lightweight and easy to carry laptop. While Aluminum is used for the housing. And Alcantara fabric is used on the surface of the keyboard that gives extra beauty to new entry.
Best Battery Life
Because of its slim design it is easy to carry. Microsoft emphasizes on a “good balance” in battery operation time. So that can be used one day without charging any more even by students. So you can have better performance progressing at work. And because of Alcantara material on the keyboard it is comfortable to the touch and have strong resistance against dirt on the keyboard.

The display adopted in this laptop is PixelSense. That has a display resolution of 2256 × 1504 (201 ppi). Which makes the aspect ratio at 3: 2.10. Also it offers multi-touch correspondence. Also there is Surface pen included with the package. At the event Microsoft specify laptop as “thinnest liquid crystal touch module with notebook PC”. It is because its cover glass is Gorilla Glass. So providing extra layer of scratch proof and more added beauty.
