The upcoming Surface Laptop Studio 2 could be equipped with 14 Core i7 cores and an RTX 40 GPU, as emerges from leaked specs.
Surface Laptop Studio 2 is supposed to come with an i7-13800H and RTX 4060
Microsoft’s next laptop could get a nice hardware upgrade, with a 14-core, 20-thread Core i7 13800H processor from the Raptor Lake generation and an RTX 4060 GPU, as well as up to 64 GB of DDR5 memory. And with up to 64GB of DDR5 memory, it would be the most powerful Surface notebook to date.
These specs are seen in a Geekbench test that would show the next Surface Laptop Studio 2 computer focused on content creation.
The 14-core, 20-thread Core i7-13800H processor is based on 6 Raptor Cove performance cores and about 8 Gracemont efficiency cores. Unfortunately, we do not know what the performance limit is for this CPU in the notebook.
The GPU will be Nvidia’s RTX 4060, which has about 8 GB of GDDR6 VRAM memory. We also do not know what the performance limit of the GPU is, which makes it difficult to compare it with other hardware.
Microsoft is apparently preparing a major hardware upgrade over the first generation Surface Laptop Studio notebooks. The first generation features a quad-core Intel Core i7-11370H processor and an RTX 3050 Ti GPU with 4GB of GDDR6 VRAM.
Surface Laptop Studio 2 is expected to launch sometime in the second half of 2023. We will keep you up to date.
