Microsoft brings SwiftKey to Windows 10

Microsoft has just released a new preview of the next version of Windows 10, codenamed Redstone 5, which is scheduled for release at the end of this year and which, among other things, includes SwiftKey, its virtual keyboard application that has been present in Android and iOS up to now, and which from this version of Windows 10 will also be in the hands of testers to try once they download the new preview of Windows 10, launched today.

SwiftKey in Windows 10 can be used through devices with touchscreens, making it possible to write in English from the United States and the United Kingdom, French, German, Italian, Spanish (from Spain), Portuguese (Brazilian) or Russian.

According to Microsoft, SwiftKey will offer more accurate self-corrections and predictions by learning the users’ writing style, including words, phrases, and emojis. SwiftKey was acquired by Microsoft in early 2016 and received its first major upgrade earlier this year.

In addition to the inclusion of SwiftKey, improvements are made to Microsoft Edge, offering more control over media playback on websites, a new way to increase the size of text across the system with a new slider is added, Game Bar adds audio controls and system performance tracking, improves the speed of searching for downloaded applications, and even Narrator comes with a number of new features, including changes, improvements, and minor new features.
