Paragon Software releases the new Mac software APFS to HFS+ Converter, which can convert media from APFS to Apple’s old HFS+ format. Of course, this is only for special applications.
Paragon turns the tables and converts new AFPS media to HFS+. This makes sense if there are incompatibilities due to APFS restrictions.
If you need to deal with APFS limitations such as incompatibility with Time Machine Backups or FileVault 2 disk encryption or format Fusion disks, Paragon Software’s free APFS to HFS+ Converter easily solves the problem by formatting volumes back to the original HFS+. For maximum data protection, you can first create recovery media, boot your Mac from that volume, and then convert the system volume.

Download and install APFS to HFS+ Converter from Paragon Software. Select a desired volume for the conversion. Optional: Create recovery media in case of system disk conversion. Perform the conversion.
Earlier this year, Paragon released APFS for Windows. This is a driver that allows Windows users to access APFS volumes. The tool provides full read and beta write access for APFS-formatted partitions. With APFS for Windows, PC users can directly access APFS-formatted hard drives (HDDs), solid-state drives (SSDs) or flash drives.
Paragon’s APFS to HFS+ Converter is available for free, while APFS for Windows costs around €50. The software can be used on up to three PCs and is offered with a free 10-day trial version.
