Lian Li launches power cables with RGB lighting

In recent years, component manufacturers have added RGB lighting to everything: memory modules, keyboards, mice, boxes, motherboards, video cards and even PSUs. Lian Li goes one step further and launches power supply extension cables that feature RGB LEDs.

The Strimer is a lighting module that can be connected to the 24-pin connector on your motherboard or video card. The Lian Li Strimer is compatible with all power supplies (PSUs) and the company says its mounting mechanism will ensure that the cables fit securely into their current configuration.

To give you an idea of what I’m talking about, here is one platform with a standard 24-pin power connector (the image that has the number 1) and the other with Lian Li’s Strimer cables:

PSU cables are boring or messy and become a challenge for people who buy the piece their equipment and players, becoming a task to manage and keep cables tidy. Cables with sleeves have become a trend and have allowed a cleaner and more elegant solution for the management and presentation of cables, together with the collection of cables in the boxes that have been a good option until now. Lian Li is revolutionizing cable management with the Strimer LED cable.

The Strimer can also connect to an addressable RGB header on your motherboard, giving you the ability to customize the lighting effect through your board software. If you have an RGB-enabled ASUS board, you can use Aura Sync to control the lighting effects. If your plate does not have RGB, the Strimer Led has 10 built-in lighting options.

At the moment, there is no more information about prices or availability, but the Strimer looks really great. If you have already invested in RGB-enabled equipment, the Lian Li extension cable is an obvious addition.
