Corsair adds a PCIe 3.0 x16 Extension Riser Connector to its new premium kit

Corsair’s accessories for power supply and device connectivity include a PCIe 3.0 x16 extension RISER cable for vertical GPU mounting.

We’ve probably seen a lot of vertical GPU chassis mounts lately that look really attractive and original. Of course, you’ll need special cables called risers that allow us to further enhance the connectivity of a PCIe slot.

Corsair joined the club with this original PCIe 3.0 X16 extension cable no less than 30 cm long. The quality of the construction and the division of the conductors into five different groups will ensure that we have the entire bandwidth so that we don’t lose a single bit during data transfer. With this type of connection, we must demand the maximum, because with a poor quality cable we will make a poor connection and poor performance of our graphics card.

The Corsair Extender is designed for your Corsair 275R and 500D vertical GPU support models, although it is, of course, compatible with all types of chassis, GPUs and motherboards. It is only available in black and with a fixed length of 300 mm.

In terms of price, the PCIe 3.0 x16 Premium extension cable has been available for a few days in your webshop for 42 euros. As with the Premium cable set, it’s not exactly cheap, but quality has to be paid for, friends, and we know Corsair well enough.
