Corsair Obsidian 1000D Series, new chassis for two systems
The Corsair Obsidian 1000D Series is an extensive chassis measuring nearly 700mm deep, over 300mm high and over 300mm wide. The interior is accessible from both sides through hinged panels cut from aluminum and tempered glass. Its triple camera design can accommodate two complete systems inside, one with a motherboard format up to E-ATX with an ATX power supply up to 220 mm long and the second with a mini-ITX motherboard with an SFX or SFX-L power supply.
Included in this Corsair Obsidian 1000D Series are a Corsair Commander Pro lighting controller and fan controller, which is controllable by Corsair Link software via a USB connection. This chassis supports up to 20 fans and supports the mounting of two 480 mm radiators and two 420 mm radiators at the same time; it also allows four 480 mm models with the appropriate accessories.
Tool-less modular mounting trays help users mount fans on the front or roof of the chassis. No fans are included as standard, assuming that the most demanding users will want to use their fans. Other features include top, front and bottom dust filters and the ability to accommodate up to five 3.5″ HDDs and six 2.5″ SSDs, expandable to eight with additional trays.
The front panel includes RGB LED lighting, two USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C ports, and four USB 3.0 ports. We continue with four PCIe expansion slots that can be rotated to allow the central system to support vertical mounting of the GPU.
