Since then we haven’t heard anything about the product. Filtration suggests that the watch, that is the LG Watch Timepiece, which combines analog design with intelligent technology, would be launched at the same time as the new V40.
The launch of LG Watch Timepiece was unveiled by the same Venture Beat reporter, Evan Blass, who is known for filtering details on electronic devices, the same reporter who filtered the details of the LG watch last May.
Blass didn’t add any details about the new device that was due to be released in the spring. Earlier, we reported that the watch would have a “water- and dustproof stainless steel case,” a “1.2-inch LCD screen,” and “4GB of Emmc memory, 768MB of RAM, and the Snapdragon 2100 chip from Qualcomm.
The LB watch features Wi-Fi 802.11n and Bluetooth version 4.2 but it has no mobile phone or GPS connection. In addition to other product features, the watch will also have a timer, compass, and stopwatch. The next iPhone would appear in unprecedented colors. Although the smartwatch should be on the market in the spring, a lot of time has passed and the technology may have changed, but it’s hard to say because there are no features.
For example, Qualcomm recently introduced the new Snapdragon 3100, and according to The NextWeb website, the processor promises “a significant improvement in battery life”. The NextWeb quotes the Phandroid portal and mentions that “it is very likely that LG has delayed the device to integrate this processor”.
We may know if these leaks were reliable and if they will actually present the LG watch along with the LG V40 ThinQ, the new LG phone with five cameras, which will be the first in its style to come out on the market on October 3rd next year.
