ASRock’s entry into the AMD graphics card market has been a bit bumpy, as even though it launched its Radeon RX 500 models under its new Phantom Gaming brand, the fact that they looked like models oriented towards crypto coin mining and the limitation of sales to Asia alone was a cold water jug for all of us who expected more quality competition in this market.
In July ASRock will launch it’s RX Vega 56 Phantom Gaming in Europe
The seizure of ASRock by rumours appeared to be a move by the other large assemblers to prevent the new entrant from reaching Europe and the United States at a time when the GPU market appeared to be normalizing in terms of sales and its share of the market cake would be threatened.
This agreement with AMD seems to have only been valid for the 500 Series Polaris-based GPUs, as ASRock has announced the worldwide launch of its Radeon RX Vega 56 Phantom Gaming, which will reach the European market next July. No doubt a competition that will be welcome.
