In recent weeks, rumors have surfaced about Nintendo’s possible absence from this year’s edition. The company would thus join other names like Sony and Microsoft, which will also be absent. E3 2023 will take place in June, but this absence puts pressure on the event, which will have to find ways to generate interest, which many believe will be difficult.
If Sony and Microsoft’s absence is also confirmed, the event may not take place this year, although the fact that it was once again held in person is in its favor. At least for this year’s edition.
Nintendo has left open the possibility of continuing to work with the organizers of this conference. It is not known if this means that they would be interested in participating in next year’s edition, for example.
