Intel updates graphics drivers for Kaby Lake-G processors

Intel launched the Kaby Lake-G processors at CES in January and then unveiled the new Intel Hades Canyon NUC (NUC8i7HVK) mini-PC based on a Core i7-8809G processor with a 100W TDP and a Radeon RX Vega M GH graphics core with 1,536 shaders. Until now, the drivers of these processors were based on the November code, but finally, a new update has arrived.

Intel Kaby Lake-G processors now have a new driver for their Radeon Vega graphics

The new Intel driver is much more modern, based on the AMD Radeon Software Adrenalin 18.6.1 driver. Therefore, this new driver will transition your Kaby Lake-G system from the Crimson graphics drivers to Adrenalin. AMD has made a number of changes to the drivers during that time, so users of these Intel processors will benefit from several game optimizations and multiple bug fixes.

Intel is responsible for updating the graphics drivers for the Kaby Lake-G processors, although the company relies on the drivers created by AMD, which is logical, since the Vega graphics kernel that integrate these processors is designed by AMD, so Intel lacks the information needed to develop its own driver.

The new Intel Kaby Lake-G driver weighs 486.18MB and is only compatible with Windows 10 64-bit systems. These processors have been a revolution in the design of very compact equipment, with a high level of performance in both the integrated graphics and the processor sections.
