Intel starts distributing its Stratix 10 FPGAs with ARM processors

Intel has begun distributing its Stratix 10 SX FPGAs. That is the only high-end FPGAs with an integrated ARM Cortex-A53 quad-core processor.

Also, it comes with densities of more than one million logical elements (MLE). So, with the integration of Intel and ARM technology, which allows it to offer the flexibility and low latency. That is necessary to respond to design challenges for the next generation of high-performance systems.

Hence, they are an appropriate solution for use in wireless 5G communications, software-defined radio technologies, reliable computing for military purposes, network function virtualization (NFV) and data center optimization.

For example, for NFV applications that consolidate and offer the necessary network components to support virtualized infrastructures adequately. Also, they can take care of high-speed data paths, while integrated processors facilitate the low-latency transactions required.

Also, that manages the flow tables for the processing of the control plane. With hardware acceleration, they provide a heterogeneous computing environment for the creation of optimized accelerators and low latency. Insecure computer applications, integrated processors make it very difficult to visualize software operations, which helps keep data safe.

These devices also facilitate the processing of general utilities. That brings comfort and reduction of formats to high-end systems.

Full Range of FPGA

Regarding this announcement, Reynette Au, vice president of marketing at Intel Programmable Solutions Group, stressed that “we now offer a full range of options for customers who need processors and FPGA. We come with an offer of devices equipped with low-end FPGA, medium and, now, high, to facilitate the design of their systems “.
