The president of Intel Japan delivered several harsh statements. According to him, the lack of processors at 14nm will be resolved only in December this year, with an offer of processors that will come on the market for the holidays. This means that it will be a difficult year for the CPU market.

However, this is not bad news for all. Competition is benefiting significantly as AMD gains market share in desktop PCs as well as notebooks and data centers.

Recent speculation suggests that AMD could reach 10% of the server market within a few years. Even though this doesn’t seem like much, considering they only had 0.8% in 2017, it would be a big step forward.
