We have some early pictures of Rocket Lake and Alder Lake processors for the cameras. These are the new Intel Core series, which will be released next year as their eleventh and twelfth generation cores.
Intel Rocket Lake and Alder Lake pictures can be seen on the cameras
Rocket Lake is the first of these images to be produced in a 10nm superfine process and will use the LGA 1200 socket. This socket is the same as the one used by Comet Lake, so the Intel 400 series motherboards should also support it.
The fact that these processors are already showing samples seems to be a good sign that everything is going as Intel planned and that they will arrive in 2021 to compete with Ryzen 5000.
The Videocardz source also published pictures about Alder Lake, which represents the Intel Core of the 12th generation and will use the LGA 1700 socket. A new socket means that Intel users will have to buy a new motherboard that is compatible with Alder Lake processors.
Alder Lake will mark a turning point in the way Intel designs its processors. Intel will use a mix of high performance and efficient CPU cores. The 16-core flagship will have 8 large cores and 8 smaller, more efficient cores. This is very similar to how ARM chips work in smartphones.
Alder Lake should arrive in time to compete with the AMD Ryzen 6000 ‘Zen 4’ processors. Additionally, there is support for DDR5 memory.
