Intel plans to launch an Intel Core i3-9100F processor

Another F processor will join Intel’s new Core family of processors, the Core i3-9100F. The latter therefore joins the i9-9900KF, i7-9700KF, i5-9600KF, i3-9350KF, i5-9400F and i3-8100F announced earlier this year.

We can make sure that the 9100F simply replaces the 8100F that was on Intel’s early lists and will certainly disappear in favor of renaming in the 9-series.

With this model, Intel will offer us a processor with 4 cores, but without hyper threading. It will also have 4 x 256 kB L2 cache and 6 MB L3 cache.

The chip can be seen in SiSoft Sandra’s database and tells us that the chip comes with a base frequency of 3.6 GHz, but since we’re talking about an i3, unfortunately we don’t have turbo speed. The processor supports 2400 MHz DDR4 memory in dual channel mode and its TDP is 65 watts.

The ‘F’ implemented by Intel in the nomenclature of these processors means that, unlike the ‘normal’ Intel core, they will not have an integrated iGPU. Although they lack iGPU, the prices are practically the same between the two models ”F” or ”without F”’. To this day, we still don’t know why Intel made this decision.

It is expected that the i3-9100F will be sold for about 117 Euro by the time it reaches the stores. Its release date is unknown. We will keep you informed.
