Intel has reserved the investment for this new factory in Ireland, which will employ 1,600 people over an area of 110,000 m². It will be located next to the existing one in Leixlip with 4,500 employees. Intel did not go into detail about the goal of the new plant, which will be built over several years.

This investment is in line with Intel’s current strategy of making massive investments to expand chip manufacturing capacity as large enterprises, SMEs and users, in general, upgrade their computers, now with the change of the decade. The company continues to struggle with the perceived lack of processors in the retail sector.
