Intel adds new Atom C3000 series processors up to 16 cores

Gigabyte is ahead of Intel in introducing new Atom processors for business projects. That is right with the MA10-ST0 motherboard that integrates a 16-core C3958. They are BGA processors for soldering on the motherboard, the reason why they come like complete systems is that they are systems on chip (SoC). This Atom C3000 series significantly improves connectivity performance.

These processors have 2 to 16 cores of the series Goldmont to 14 nm. They can manage memory up to 2400 Mhz on the most expensive models. And have a power consumption of between 8.5 W to 32 W. They also improve connectivity by integrating management of up to four 10 Gigabit Ethernet connections. And those who can not manage up to two 2.5 GbE connections.

The new processor variant divides into three sections according to the sector for which they oriented. These include servers and the internet, Networks and enterprise storage, and internet of things. And the ambient temperature of extended operation (-40 ºC to 85 ºC). The latter is interesting because they are the ones that we can use in all kinds of environments. Such as specks of a sensor network in a broad geographic region. They also have various applications of Quick Assist, communications encryption, and remote management.

Since they are business solutions, Intel offers them and covers demand on the market. The Atom C3958 costs $ 449, while the C3338 cost is only $ 27, so accessing them requires buying a good volume for specific long-term business projects.
