Instagram comes loaded with new products today. First, it is introducing Live video chats, allowing real-time conversations with up to four people simultaneously and without time limits.
Instagram points out that this feature aims to help you feel close and connected with friends when they can’t be together. Conversations can start from any existing conversation, where you just press the new camera button in the right corner, and the function will ring the phones of the contacts involved in the conversation.
The user who wants to leave the active conversation will only have to touch the red phone icon at the bottom. In addition, this new function allows it to be minimized to perform other activities within Instagram.
In addition, Instagram is introducing thematic channels in Explore to offer new avenues of interest discovery. Simply open the Explore page and you’ll find at the top a range of custom channels, including the “for you” channel with interest tailored publications and thematic channels on what users are interested in.
Obviously, users will also have control over the channels they want to watch, with the ability to mute channels they are not interested in.
And finally, it is bringing the first set of new camera effects, which come from the hands of Ariana Grande, Buzzfeed, Liza Koshy, Baby Ariel and NBA. Simply follow your accounts to find your new effects in the camera function, or through a camera effect you see in your feed, you can tap to test it and insert it into the camera effects.
All these new features are starting to arrive at Instagram today on both Android and iOS. Instagram promises more new products soon, so we need to be aware of what they are preparing us for another wave of new products.
