Inclusion Petition Sparks Controversy as Starfield Exclusivity Leaves PlayStation Fans Disgruntled, Targeting Xbox Owners

In the past, Bethesda has released its games on multiple platforms to reach a wide audience. However, its next title, Starfield, will be available exclusively on Xbox Series X|S and PC from September 6, 2023. This choice is based on Microsoft’s acquisition of ZeniMax Media in 2021.

After the presentation of Starfield, there were PlayStation fans who expressed their discontent for the lack of the game on their console. One of them even started a petition demanding a PlayStation 5 port and made negative comments towards Xbox CEO Phil Spencer.

To date, the petition on Change.org for Starfield to launch on PlayStation has garnered more than 2800 signatures. Benjamin Dickey, author of the petition, argued that the game would be better suited to PlayStation and would appeal to more gamers. Dickey also criticized Xbox owners, claiming that they did not “deserve” console exclusivity.

In his statement, the petition author expressed his discontent towards Xbox owners, calling them arrogant and annoying. He also pointed out that Starfield’s promotion was focused on the Xbox platform, which he found irritating, comparing it to the case of Spider-Man, Ghost of Tsushima and other PlayStation titles.

Furthermore, it appears that Dickey was so embarrassed to have made such a silly request that he deleted all comments made by those people who signed. However, most of the opinions were quite critical and complained about the claim.
