At an event in China, the company unveiled the Huawei MateBook 13. The Huawei MateBook 13 features a 2160 x 1440 pixel IPS display with a 100 percent sRGB colour space and slim bezels for an 88 percent screen-to-body ratio. Huawei positions the MateBook 13 as a device about the same size as Apple’s new MacBook Air, while providing more processing power. It will be available with at least two different CPU/GPU options:

  • Intel Core i5-8265U with Intel UHD 620 Graphics Card
  • Intel Core i7-8565U with NVIDIA GeForce MX150 graphics card

The laptop has an 8GB LPDDR3-2133 RAM and a 256GB SSD, and Huawei promises up to 10 hours of battery life for video playback because of the computer’s 42 Wh battery. The connectors include a headphone jack and USB type C on the right and left the side of the laptop. A fingerprint sensor is also built into the power switch, and it features an NFC module that supports Huawei Share 3.0 software, which allows you to quickly exchange files between your PC and a Huawei smartphone at speeds up to 30MB/sec.

Huawei says that the MateBook 13 will be shipped in December, there are no details provided about the price.
