Huawei Mate Xs: Folding terminal with 5G, versatile and resistant than ever

Huawei has just unveiled its new folding mobile, a successor to the Mate x, which will be on the market from next month for 2,500 euros.

It is the Mate XS with a more durable screen and a redesigned hinge, the Kirin 990 processor and a screen with four layers (two layers of polyamide film bonded together with transparent adhesive, a flexible OLED screen, a softer polymer layer that serves as a cushion and a final layer that connects it to the main body of the device).

The screen is 6.6 inches folded and 8 inches in use, their hardware is prepared for 5G networks, and they have redesigned the phone’s cooling system so you can attach the foldable part of the device.

On the software side, according to Huawei, the Mate XS can display up to three applications simultaneously, one on the left side of the screen, one on the right and a third in a floating window, but it can’t have Gmail, YouTube, Google Maps or Google Store. No Google, and it’s important to remember that it’s not recommended to install the services through third-party systems, we may have more issues than solutions in the device.

They indicate that it is possible to open two instances of the same application simultaneously.

The device has similar specifications to the original Mate X: 4500 mAh battery like its predecessor, camera hardware with a 40-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel phone photosensor, an Ultra 16-megapixel camera and a 3D )ToF) depth detection camera.
