GoPro launches a waterproof touchscreen camera for as little as $199

GoPro is having a lot of competition in the last few years, so it has to get its act together. A few months ago the company announced that it would launch more affordable products, which is a reality, with a new camera that costs only $199 and includes a screen.

The competition is holy water for the users, proof of which is the arrival of a new GoPro Hero very affordable. Despite this, it still has great features, such as the ability to record at 60 FPS and with a resolution of 1440p. It also allows you to take 10MP photos, capture time lapses and take burst pictures.

All of this is enhanced by a 2-inch touchscreen, a voice control system, electronic image stabilization (EIS) and water resistance so that you can use it in the pool without any problems. Also, all existing GoPro accessories will also work with this new economy camera. Best of all, it’s only $199.

Hopefully, this will be the first of many affordable GoPro products, the company has always been the benchmark in action chambers, but the competition is tighter than ever, and its hegemony is no longer what it was a few years ago. We are confident that with more releases like this new camera, GoPro will make up for lost ground in recent years.
