And to make a better user experience, both companies seek in this way to improve the implementation of the processor and the technical parts of the system. Also, we already have a name for this deployment. It will be called Google’s Mobile Services Express. So, it is a variant of GMS installation that provides Google applications to the manufacturers.

Google join forces

This new version will have more control of Google. So the manufacturer will not need specific certifications. That will result in updates being released more quickly. So it seems that it is an agreement with which everyone wins. Not only will these upgrades be faster, but they will also be easier to obtain for small businesses.

Also, if the manufacturer does not need specific certifications, it will be possible to launch a more significant number of updates. So you can have the latest version of the operating system smoothly. Until now, MediaTek was using the Board Support Package (BSP). That meant that everyone who used a MediaTek processor had to contact Google to get the applications.

MediaTek has commented that the certification time will be reduced by 66% and will take only 30 days. Something that in the past made about three months on average. Undoubtedly a most exciting and beneficial agreement between Google and MediaTek. What do you think?
