The Android edition of Oreo Go Edition comes with the lightweight version of Google applications. Such as Google Assistant, Google Maps, Gmail, Photos and more. Even the Play Store will show the available “lite” applications separately. The YouTube Go application launched will replace the standard Youtube application in the Go edition.
Compared with the essential devices that run Android Nougat. Also, machines that work with Android Go will require 50% less storage for operating system and system applications. The Android Oreo Go edition comes with the data saving feature enabled by default.
According to the company, it will be as safe as Android Oreo and includes Google Play Protect. The Android edition of Oreo Go Edition will be based on the latest version of Android 8.1 Oreo. Most of the applications designed for the Go edition will have a size smaller than 5MB.
