Google Chrome 70 is now available for download. The program is available in versions for Windows, MacOS, and Linux. In this version, the Mountain View giant introduces the recently announced changes to the process of logging into the company’s services.
Chrome 70 in the settings (in the Privacy and Security section) has received a new switch called Allow Login in Chrome. If you disable this option, you can sign in to Google services, such as Gmail, without signing in to Chrome. If you also click on an avatar, you’ll now see clearer information about your sync status.
Google Chrome 70 also includes modified warnings for pages without HTTPS. If the user enters credentials on such a page, a red badge will appear indicating that there is no encryption. The browser has also added support for Progressive Web Apps in Windows 10, and the MacOS version has enhanced the two-step scanning of accounts with MacBooks Pro touch IDs on compatible pages.
