It’s been several months since Google introduced Pixel Buds, the company’s wireless headset. Since then, Google has been updating them with some pretty interesting features, such as a touch feature to make it easier to use Google Assistant and a feature to allow us to choose which applications send voice notifications. The novelties don’t stop there, as Google has just added new touch gestures that will make Pixel Buds much easier to use.
Google adds new touch gestures to Pixel Buds, its wireless headphones
Specifically, the company states that the three new products presented were among the most demanded by current users of Pixel Buds. The first of the new tactile gestures presented will allow us to turn our Pixel Buds off or on with three taps on the right earpiece, something that was not possible until now.
In addition, from now on we will have a function that will allow us to move on to the next song without having to pick up our mobile phone or talk to Google Assistant. To do this, Google has incorporated the possibility of a double tap on the right earpiece, a tactile gesture previously reserved for reading notifications. However, you will need to activate this function from the headset settings menu.
Finally, it is interesting to note that the company has improved the synchronization of the headphones and the rest of our devices. Thanks to the latest update we can change the connection of the Pixel Buds between our smartphone and the computer by selecting them from the Bluetooth menu, something we couldn’t do until now either. The new features will be available to all users over the next week.
