Featuring most of its Z390 motherboards launched a few weeks ago, Gigabyte today introduces the new Gigabyte Z390 Designare that meets the needs of designers and content creators. Gigabyte has just announced the Z390 Designare, a motherboard optimized for running the latest Intel Showcase, the Core i9-9900K with 8 physical cores. The manufacturer is particularly interested in Content Creators.
This Z390 design provides native support for USB Type-C Thunderbolt and USB 3.1 Gen 2 technologies. Its mechanics are based on a 12+1 phase VRM, including a digital PWM controller and DrMOS.
This announcement is an opportunity for Jackson Hsu, Deputy Director of the GIGABYTE Channel Solutions Division to highlight the following:
“Content creators are looking for efficiency and responsiveness on their PCs. GIGABYTE developed the DESIGNARE series several years ago to meet the needs of these demanding users. This Z390 DESIGNARE is the latest addition to this constantly evolving series. It is full of features that offer performance and efficiency so that creators can unleash all their artistic creativity.”
Z390 Designare, detailed specifications
Its design comprises of a black jet board and a silver metallic cooler. The LED lighting is discreet, but RGB headers are available for the operation of strip lights. Power is supplied to the processor via an 8-pin EPS connector and a 4-pin secondary connector. The motherboard has four DDR4 slots that allow professionals to store up to 64GB of memory in their systems. It supports ECC unbuffered DIMMs, and DDR4 accelerates up to 4.266 MHz and higher.
As the name implies, it operates a Z390 chipset and its equipment includes four DDR4 slots (64 GB DDR4-4266 MHz), three PCIe 3.0 x16 slots (x16, x8 and x4) and two PCIe 3.0 x1 slots. Storage is via two M.2 ports (2242 to 22110 SATA and PCIE x4/x2) with heat sinks and six SATA 6 GB/sec. There are three USB 3.1 Gen 2 type C ports, two USB 3.1 Gen 2 type A ports, six USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports or four USB 2.0 ports.
The motherboard also has two Gigabit Ethernet ports and a WiFi 802.11ac Wave 2 and Bluetooth 5 combination and uses the Realtek ALC1220-VB codec for audio.
