ThunderXStation is the first 64-bit ARMv8 computer for ARM application development

Workstations are independent platforms with high-performance CPUs, lots of memory and excellent graphics capabilities, widely used for advanced software development. ThunderXStation integrates the ThunderX2 dual socket motherboard into a 4U tower suitable for office environments.

ARM software developers currently use binary translators and cross-compilers, resulting in the increased development and debugging cycles. By offering native performance and eliminating the need for cross-compilers, ThunderXStation simplifies ARM software development and significantly improves delivery times.

Also, ThunderXStation offers unprecedented performance and flexibility for ARM software development for Android applications, games, NFVs, etc. So, each system comes pre-installed with a complete software development environment, allowing developers to debug and release apps for ARM processors quickly.

Also, pre-installed software development tools include gcc 7.2, LLVM, gdb, Golang, OpenJDK 9.0, HHVM, Python, PHP, Ruby, etc. The CentOS 7.4 environment on ThunderXStation provides support for KVM and Docker. So, allowing developers to test their applications in the hypervisor or container-based environments quickly. Open source graphics drivers included with the operating system will enable you to develop and test video games quickly and easily.

The availability of the ThunderXStation (SKU: W281-T90 series) is on request (Contact: server.grp@gigabyte.com)
