Gigabyte has introduced a motherboard for workstations in the form of the MZ30-AR0 Motherboard. MZ30-AR0 Motherboard is more oriented to the professional/home sector. Although MZ30-AR0 Motherboard will also serve certain types of servers. It comes in 305 x 330 mm E-ATX format and is compatible with Epyc 7000 processors with up to 64 logical cores. And an 180 W TDP of the single processor layout subfamily because it includes a single SP3 socket.
Gigabyte MZ30-AR0 Motherboard 512 GB RAM Support
One of the characteristics of the Epyc is that they can manage up to 16 memory modules. That provides from 32 GB to 512 GB in total. And that is why it includes 16 memory banks that can operate in the eightfold channel at a frequency of 2667 MHz. That will depend on the type of module and layout. Since the 2667 MHz will only reach when using one module per channel. And it will also rely on the number of rows in the memory area.
The board MZ30-AR0 Motherboard has two 10 Gigabit Ethernet ports with one Broadcom BCM 58710S controller plus one Gigabit Ethernet. The board has an integrated speed graphics card to handle the server without 3D capability. And it can work for monitors up to 1920 x 1080 pixels at 60 Hz that can be used by a VGA connector.
There are up to 16 SATA-3 devices in MZ30-AR0 Motherboard that can be installed through four SlimSAS. And it also has five PCIe 3.0 slots running at x16, and two at x8. It also includes a slot for an M.2 type SATA3 or PCIe, two USB 3.0, and two USB 2.0. For power, it requires two EPS, eight-pin power source.
