Gigabyte Aorus Z690: A series of new motherboards for Alder Lake
The Z690 Aorus Xtreme and Aorus Master motherboards will be among the most popular product lines for performance enthusiasts. They support DDR5, Thunderbolt 4, and Wi-Fi 6E, as well as 10Gbps Ethernet via an Aquantia network card and 2.5Gbps Ethernet. Up to four M.2 SSDs are supported. In addition, the Aorus Z690 Xtreme, Master, and Elite models will have a corresponding version for DDR4 memory.
In addition to the standard models with DDR5, the company will also show the Z690 Aorus Ultra, Aorus Pro, and Aorus Pro DDR4 models. These feature four M.2 slots, a 2.5 Gbps Ethernet port, and USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 ports.
The Aorus Elite series will also have four variants for DDR4 and DDR5 memory, as well as WiFi 6 connectivity. A Z690I Aorus Ultra DDR4 mini-ITX motherboard will also be announced.
The Z690 Aero series is here with DDR5 memory support, 10 Gbps and 2.5 Gbps Ethernet ports, Wi-Fi 6E, and dual PCIe 5.0 x16 slots. The Aero D model also has four M.2 slots with a PCIe 4.0 interface. White is the predominant color. There will also be Aero G models, with DDR5 and DDR4 memory, respectively. These offer space for up to four M.2 PCIe 4.0 SSDs as well as Wi-Fi 6.
Gigabyte is introducing a new feature called DDR5 Auto Booster that can automatically boost native DDR5-4800 memory speeds to 5000 MHz at the touch of a button from any BIOS, with full support for XMP memory profiles.
