G.SKILL Reaches the 5.5GHz in DDR4 Winning
GeIL seeks to meet the demand for this type of DDR4 memory that has been debuting in the market for the longest time with the new generations of AMD’s Intel or Ryzen Kaby Lake processors.
AMD presents its own benchmark with DDR4 memory
This particular model is unusual, as we said before, for the Z200 and X299 platforms. But GeIL intends to launch another particular model for Ryzen and AM4 motherboards, called Evo Spear AMD Edition.
The specifications of Geil EVO SPEAR DDR4:
- Generation: DDR4
- Frequency:
- Evo Spear: From 2133MHz to 3466MHz
- Evo Spear AMD Edition: From 2133MHz to 3200MHz
- Capacities (Kits): 8GB / 16GB / 32GB / 64GB
- Standalone module capacity: 4GB / 8GB / 16GB
- Channels: Single / Dual / Quad
- CAS latency: CL 15-17
- Voltage: 1.2-1.35V
- Technology: Intel XPM 2.0
As we see, the manufacturer is offering kits of up to 64GB capacity in different frequencies. These are ranging from 2133MHz to 3466MHz. In the case of the ‘AMD Edition,’ it reaches a maximum of 3200MHz.
Price and release date
Both series will get out on this August 7 for a price that starts at 75.99 $ to 135 $. Evo Spear DDR4 is one more option to upgrade to these new memories that offer higher performance than the DDR3.
