GeForce 456.38 WHQL adds official support for RTX 30 GPU

Nvidia has launched a new driver for its graphics cards. According to the release notes, Nvidia’s GeForce 456.38 WHQL driver provides official support for the GeForce RTX 30 series and optimal performance on Fortnite RTX, Mafia: Definitive Edition, and Halo 3 ODST.

This new driver adds automatic power tuning to the GeForce Experience for the GeForce RTX 30 and RTX 20 series, and power control for the GeForce Experience for the GTX 600 series and higher. The Nvidia GeForce 456.38 WHQL driver also introduces the Nvidia broadcast application with IA noise reduction and virtual background.

This new Game Ready controller supports the dramatic new update from Fortnite that adds Ray Tracing, Nvidia DLSS, Nvidia Reflex, and a custom RTX card. In addition, this version also provides optimal support for Halo 3: ODST and Mafia: Definitive Edition.
